A curve number of 74 was established for this area. <br />Area 2 <br />Area 2 is the gravel access road and bathhouse area. This area <br />encompasses 1.3 acres. This area is categorized as a farmstead, <br />buildings, lanes, driveways and surrounding lots, cover description "D". <br />A curve number of 82 was established for this area. <br />Area 3 <br />Area 3 is the field below the office bathhouse area. This field <br />encompasses 1.8 acres. The vegetation on the field in a lush stand of <br />orchardgrass and has a ground cover similar to area 1. A curve number <br />of 74 was established for this area. <br />Area 4 <br />Area 4 is the miscellaneous storage area. This storage area encompasses <br />1.0 acres. The vegetation in this area is a combination of orchardgrass <br />and grasses and weeds, cover description "B" and "C". The ground cover <br />could be categorized as poor to fair which would indicate a curve number <br />from 79 to 86 which averages 82.5. This area could also be categorized <br />as a farmstead, buildings, lanes, driveways, and surrounding lots which <br />has a curve number of 82. A curve number of 62 was selected for this <br />area. <br />• Area 5 <br />Area 5 is the area east of the storage area and north of the light use <br />road. This field encompasses 0.8 acres. The vegetation on the field in <br />a lush stand of orchardgrass and has a ground cover similar to area 1. <br />A curve number of 74 was established for this area. <br />Area 6 <br />Area 6 is the area southeast of the light use road. Topsoil stockpile <br />#2 is located in this area. This field encompasses 0.9 acres. The <br />vegetation on the field in a lush stand of orchardgrass and has a ground <br />cover similar to area 1. A curve number of 74 was established for this <br />area. <br />Area 7 <br />Area 7 is the coal loadout facilities area. This 5.2 acre area is <br />comprised of coal processing and stacking equipment, coal stockpiles and <br />a coal plated yard, cover description "E". A loose coal stockpile has <br />the capability to absorb a large amount of precipitation so the presence <br />of coal stockpiles in the yard would tend to reduce the areas overall <br />curve number. A hard packed coal plated yard would have a relative high <br />curve number. This area could be classified as a farmstead, buildings, <br />lanes, driveways, and surrounding lots with a curve number of 82. <br />However a more conservative curve number of BS was selected for this <br />• area. <br />-2- 6/03/93 <br />
