Revised 3-24-07
EXHIBIT L-Permanent Man-made Structures (6.3.12) fRevisedl
There are two such structures within 200 feet of the proposed affected lands. The first is
a hay storage shed previously considered as insignificant. As a revision to this section a
damage compensation agreement has been executed with the landowner, John
Martinez, and is attached. This shed is shown on revised Exhibit E.
The second structure is Archuleta County Road (CR) 391. It was not included in the
original application. CR 391 runs east west approximately parallel to the eastern end of
the south mining limit boundary. The required engineering evaluation for this structure
follows.
County Road 391- Eneineerine Evaluation (6.3.12(b))
The elevation of the county road surface is 17 feet lower than the neazest point on the
mining limit boundary. No structtu'al impact to the county road from the proposed
initial excavation is anticipated. There is, however, the potential of rock fall reaching
the county road during initial excavation. To preclude this from occurring, the applicant
will build a rocktrap berm and catchment ditch along the southern mining limit
botmdary where this potential exists. Across-sectional sketch and a plan view
alignment of this berm are shown on revised Exhibit E (attached).
