Revised 3-24-07
EXHIBIT D -Reclamation Plan (6.3.4) (Revisedl
(1) As discussed in the attached Exhibit C -Mining Plan, this operation is primarily a
road cut project. The landowner expressly wishes to have access to the upper portion of
his property. To accomplish this access, rock will be extracted and removed from the
subject property. The end result of the project is the existence a roadway allowing the
desired access. Reclamation in the sense of a mining operation is not totally applicable
in this case. The typical final road cut configuration is shown on Exhibit E. The
following plan addresses the reclamation of the lower portion of the property where
processing, staging and loading activities will occur.
(a) Once the road cut is completed to the top of the valley wall, reclamation of
the lower portion will take place. The amount of available overburden
removed from this section will be replaced in accordance with the
landowner's wishes.
(b) The maximum gradient of the reclaimed section will be a ~ 2:1 slope ratio
of the upslope and downslope features including the road embankment.
(The road cut slopes are proposed not to exceed .25:1 as shown on Exhibit E)
{c) As discussed earlier, the lower section of the site presents little in the way of
plant growth medium. The existing soils are thin and sandy.
(i) It is proposed to replace plant growth medium in this area at a depth of
6 inches.
(ii) This section will be seeded at the point the road cut is complete. The
seedbed will be disced. Soil amendment will be assessed based on the
composite analysis of the medium present at the cessation of the
project.
(iii) The seed mix proposed for the lower section of the site is as follows:
Hycrest Crested Wheatgrass 15%
Smooth Brome 25%
Pubescent Wheatgrass 25%
Orchardgrass (Paiute) 20%
Russian Wildrye 10%
Annual Rye 5%
The recommended rate of seeding for the above is 12-15 ]bs PLS/acre.
(iv} The drilled placement method is proposed.
(v) The application of mulch is not anticipated.
(vi) N/A
(d) The entrance and excavated access road will remain.
(e) N/A
