The proposed area <br /> <br />i (section 30) is within the active grazing allotment "Four Mile." Anon-native population <br /> of leafy spurge (approximately 15 acres in size) is present at the site and would be <br /> scheduled for chemical control treatments. <br />' i <br /> The reclamat <br />on process would involve the following steps: <br />1. The proposed mining process would facilitate reclamation by reducing slopes <br />to between 2:1 and 3:1, with the exception of possible rock outcrops. To the <br />extent practical, the contours will be reshaped to simulate natural topographic <br />t conditions and slopes would be varied to include random flat areas of various <br />sizes and shapes. Contouring during reclamation would also include the <br />creation of water bazs draining to the flat azeas and other measures to <br />' minimize erosion. It is likely that there will be some hard rock outcroppings <br />that will remain after the mining process. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />2. The ground surface would then be scarified and the stockpiled topsoil would <br />be distributed with an average depth of 3 inches on slopes and 1-1/2 inches on <br />flat areas. It may be necessary to import additional topsoil, depending upon <br />the amount available from stockpiles created during the site preparation phase. <br />3. The areas covered with topsoil would then be seeded following surface <br />preparation with a spring tooth harrow. The composition of the seed mix to <br />be used is presented in the following table (Table 2.1).
