1~
1
PREFACE
' Since laboratory work has not yet been started, this summary has
been prepared without access to notch of the information derived from the
excavations at the Roatap Game Trail Site. This sutmtary has, of
' necessity, been based primiarily on field observations and a few quick
peeks into artifact bags in Centuries' lab. The summar y does, however,
accurately succmarize the salient points of the work and should
' effectively serve to apprise the reader of the general nature and
results of the evaluation program undertaken at SDT271 in August, 1986.
The author is quite optimistic about the contribution potential of this
' work and is grateful to the BIM and Colorado Westmoreland for having
been given the opportunity to investigate this snsll ephemeral resource.
' Steven G.
