TAB 12
FACILITIES
Introduction
Construction of the facilities at the Hayden Gulch Loadout was completed during the time
period 1978 through 1980 by the pervious owner/operator/permittee, H-G Coal Company. The
following sections describe the approved facilities layout. The 2,000,000 ton per year (2bM
ton/year) rail unloading/truck haulage system, which is permitted through Technical Revision
No. 6 (TR-06), is presented at the end of this section. The exhibits referenced in this tab
correspond to the approved TR-06 facilities layout, The exhibits (with revision number and
date) are as follows:
Exhibit 12-1, Facilities Map (Revision 13, 06/06)
Exhibit 12-1A, Train Unloading and Truck Loading Facilities Plan and Sections (Revision
0, 11/04)
Exhibit 12-2, Surface Water Control Plan Map (Revision 10, 06/06)
. This attachment will be removed from the PAP upon the
construction of the approved TR-06 modifications.
Most of the existing support features (i .e., sedimentation ponds, drainage ditches, roads}
will be retained upon completion of the TR-06 approved modifications. The major changes
will be the demolition and, or relocation of several existing coal handling structures.
Attachment 12-1 includes a description of the current facility configuration and summarizes
what will be demolished or relocated following the completion of the 2 DAS ton/year coal
handling system approved by TR-06.
Sediment and Water Control Facilities Plan
There are currently two sedimentation ponds located within the permit boundary. The ponds
were originally designed and constructed by Morrison-Knudsen Company in May 1980 for the
TR-07 1 Revised 06/06
