(COLOWYO); CDPS NO. CO-00045161
FIRST QUARTER FOLLOW UP LETTER FOR OUTFACES 001A AND OOSA
Dear Ms. Lenkey,
Colowyo is submitting the additional information you requested via voice mail on
Wednesday June 6, 2001 pursuant to the First Quarter 2001 Discharge Monitoring
Report (DMR).
Surveys of the Streeter Pond (Outfall 001 A), used for SEDCAD modeling in 1998 show
that the pond can contain 2.6252 acre-feet of water before discharging. The Streeter
Pond was surveyed in June of 2001 and found to have a storage volume of 1.3424
acre-feet. Based on this most recent survey 51 %of the 1998 as-built capacity remains.
The Stoker Siding Pond, also known as Outfall 005A, was surveyed in 1998 and found
to contain .3005 acre-feet of water prior to discharging. Sediment was removed from
the pond in September of 1998, which caused the pond to gain in volume from the 1998
as-built. The current storage volume of the Stoker Siding pond is .6268 acre-feet, or
+209% of the 1998 as-built.
Please contact me at the above phone number if you require additional information.
Respectfully,
Kimberley A. Wolf
Cc: JD Harmon Mr. Byron Walker
SR Hinkemeyer Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215
Denver, CO. 80209
