Upon con~le[ion of this field
work, Mw was contacted to perform a geotechnical and stability analysis of the regraded
slopes. This analysis was conducted in August 2 000. The results of that investigation
are contained in Addend um 13-12B-D. The results of the stability analysis calculated a
Factor of Safely for the regraded slope greater th an 1. 3.
The regraded slopes had shown no further evidence of any movement until the CDMG
Inspection conducted on June 14, 2001. Two areas of slumping and cracking have occurred
along the berm ditch and outslope of Haul Road D. Based on this inspection another site
visit was conducted by SCC/Mw sta Ef on June 18 and 19. The plan to regrade and stabilize
this portion of the Haul Road D outslope is located in Addendum 13-12B-E. SCC will
initiate these activities immediately to stabilize this area before additional movement
occurs in this area.
•

13-12B-2 Revised 06/01
