The presence <br />or absence of effervescence of a soil under field conditions is necessarily a <br />somewhat subjective determination. Therefore, the laboratory analysis would <br />pf'ovide a more objective determination of calcium carbonate amount. <br />Finally, the suitability level for EC should be set at .12 mmhos/cm. This is <br />the threshold level for the Nucla, Nucla East, and .:eneca: II Mines.
