For this reason, this injection can only be authorized under a UIC Class V permit <br />containing monitoring requirements to insure that injection would not adversely affect <br />underground sources of drinking water. A permit application maybe submitted with additional <br />sampling and analysis information sufficient to define the extent of nitrate and coliform <br />contamination in the areas azound private drinking water wells that would be affected by <br />injection activities. <br />Once the permit application is complete with sufficient sampling and analysis <br />information, the time frame for issuance of a Final Permit is 60 to 90 days. The construction of <br />injection wells is not authorized until the Final Permit is effective.
