ENERGY FUELS COAL,
SOUTHFIELD MINE
P.D. BOX 449
FLORENCE, COLORADO
INC.
81226
QUARTERLY INSPECTION REPORT
WATER STORAGE PONDS
Date of Inspection: May 4, 1993
Pond Identification: water Storage Pond No. 2
Pond Location: NE1/4 Sec. 30, T205, R69W, P.M.
Fremont County, Colorado
Comments: This pond is a partially incised pond with moderate
interior sideslopes and varying exterior sideslopes. The pond
interior is hypalon lined and the perimeter is fenced. Minor
erosion of the North and West exterior sideslopes due to storm
drainage was observed. The slope erosion does not pose a hazard to
the integrity of the pond. The water level in the pond at the time
of inspection was approximately 8" above the high water line mark.
Sediments were observed in the Northwest corner of the pond. A
small hole was noted in the hypalon pond liner ( above high water
level in the Northwest corner).
Recommendations: Monitor the exterior sideslopes for erosion
damage periodically and perform cleaning and maintenance as
required. Remove sediments within the next quarter. Repair hole
in the hypalon lining. Dewater pond to below the high water mark.
Inspected by: David J.
