Three of the proposed stock ponds were
constructed during 1989. Two of the tanks, N-c and N-d, have been built in
their predicted locations. The third tank, 1-c, was constructed about 400
feet north of the originally proposed location. As you know, the locations
depicted on Map 9A, Hydrologic Features and Sediment Control, were to
represent the approximate, not exact, locations of the proposed small
livestock water tanks. This flexibility would allow Colorado Yampa Coal
Company to select the most advantageous location at the time of pond
construction.
The following table presents a list of the small livestock water tanks which
have been constructed. Colorado Yampa Coal Company, through Cyprus Western
Coal Company, will be registering the constructed ponds with the State
Engineer in the near future.
If you have any questions or require additional information, please do not
hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,
Claire E.
