This is the t6wn of San Luis which is three <br />i <br />miles downstream in the drainage of the Rite 5eco where the cyanide heap leach <br />that we are opposed to is located. On February 25tl1, three days after we met <br />with the ladies and gentlemen of the MLRD, We had an unusually wane day. And, <br />we had quite a bit of snpw melt. This is wtjat appears to be a ditch with a <br />broken bank is really one of the roads of t1}e Rito Secro which would be the <br />haul road. And, the amount of erosion that~~was occurring within just a few <br />hours was really signiftcart. Thts accurre~ within just a few hours. Thts <br />part of this road which again is also part cf that haul road was about 12 <br />inches deep and I would know because I wasn't really paying that much <br />attention and I hit it with my car. And the ~roaterial here is running <br />downstream, which normally this would be Tn;the direction of the Rita Seco. <br />Here, again, ibis is the water running here.! it's a good deal of voter. And <br />one of the things that ended up happening i~ that this water ended up, later <br />i <br />on that evening, ended up in the fawn of San Luis, <br />_~Z_ <br />i <br />it, personally. That's one of ~ major co~cerns is having ~+at Rica Seco <br />dewatered to that potnt and future Droblem~ that rnuld arise, That's it. <br />Thank you. <br />
