<br />An analysis must be performed to determine that uranium and/or radium aze the <br />source of the elevated gross alpha activity detected in the West Pit waters. <br />Response: <br />As noted previously in response to the comment by the US EPA regazding the <br />inclusion of aluminum, BMRI and its technical experts believe that there is no <br />reasonable potential for aluminum to be dischazged from the water treatment <br />facility, and therefore, contend that the original determination regazding the <br />exclusion of aluminum as an effluent limitation was correct. <br />The effluent limitations explicitly set limits on the concentrations of uranium and <br />rndium dischazged from the water treatment facility. <br />Comment: <br />13.
