The <br />pplication states that they will revegetate, but it also states <br />that they will let the area revegetate naturally, similar to the <br />existing quarry. If the plan is to revegetate will this occur at <br />the completion of the mining operation or when each terrace is <br />completed? I do not recommend that the area be allowed to <br />revegetate naturally. The existing quarry has been slow to <br />revegetate, and many of the plants are noxious weeds. If the site <br />is replanted I suggest that native species be used. <br />One other area of concern is the drainage that <br />proposed site.
