CO-0000132 <br />Dear Ms. Sullivan: <br />Enclosed is a Toxicity Identifioation Evaluation Phase I report <br />from Commercial Tenting and Engineering Company, as required by <br />Part I.B.k.(d). As previously- suspected, total dissolved solids, <br />TDS, predominately ~cdium bicarbonate, remains responsible for <br />the effluent toxicity. <br />Today, we received a telephone call from Mr. Jcn C. [Cubic, <br />Colorado D~pr.rtment of Pu61ic llealth and Environment, Water <br />Quality Corrtrol Division, regarding Amendment t1o. 4, modification <br />of WET testing protocol. Ha informed us, pcr instructions from <br />the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the amendment will <br />.3iscontinue testing with Cariodaphnia Dubin. He also advised us <br />to discuuti,iue ;:astiug with Cariodaphnia Dubin beginning with the <br />sample collected and shipped to CT&E today for the third quarter <br />monitoring.
