The reasons for my objections are as
follows:
1) Contained in exhibit G, page G-2, of the
application, is the mention of faults being either
barriers or conduits to aquifer flow. It is an
important environmental matter to verify whether a
Sault is a conduit or barrier. Referring to said
page, it is mentioned that much of their analysis
was based on "limited data" or data that is
"currently available". In order to make an
unquestionable analysis on the Sault acuifer floe,
there must be sufficient end unquestionable data.
Please es sure me that this cuestion of acuifer flow
is not an assumption but a verifiable tact. The
data was not in the plan but it should have been
available for public display.
2) Contained in exhibit G of the application is the
mention of ground water that is h}•draulically
connected to the P.ito Seco Creek. This is my
concern: To what degree will the dewatering of the
nouifers damage the Rito Seco end/or other aeuifers'
3) Gn page G-34 of the 112 enplication, there is
mentioned of an inherent assumption of the analysis
regarding homogeneity of the fractured acuifer.
This draws concern because such assumptions could be
environmentally dangerous.
Q) Gn page G-4G of the application there is mention of
some inflow to the closed basin in the West Pit may
occur. l•Jhat if inflows from the aquifer are greater
than expected? S•;hat environmental safeguards does
BM.G propose should this event occur?
