Received a Texas Company scholar- <br />ship during senior year. <br />Experience: March 1960 to May 1960 - Temporary employment with Monolith <br />Midwest Cement Company in California, Wyoming and Nevada. <br />Involved in search for cement limestones and shales, gypsinn <br />and fluorspar. <br />• May 1960 to May 1962 - Geologist with Minnesota Mining and <br />Manufacturing Company performing work as follows: compiled <br />economic reports of mineral commodities; assisted engineer <br />teams in problems concerning plant location, water procure- <br />ment and chemical waste disposal; evaluated mineral deposits <br />in the United States for potential company use; conducted <br />geologic work related to the operation of several quazries <br />and mines; participated in an exploration program in New <br />Mexico which consisted of surface and underground diamond <br />drilling, mapping, and sampling. <br />May 1962 to February 1969 - Geologist with Bear Creek Mining <br />Company as Exploration Geologist. After 2 years assumed a <br />position of assigning priorities to prospecting areas and <br />budgeting for their evaluation and then guiding examination <br />of these areas using the following programs: aerial photo <br />interpretation; geologic reconnaissance and outcrop investi- <br />gation; geochemical sampling; mapping surface and underground <br />lithology, structure, mineralization and alteration; recom- <br />mending geophysical surveys when applicable and carrying out <br />drilling programs. Conducted detailed and reconnaissance <br />mapping in and around operating mines of the parent company. <br />During the last 18 months was directly responsible for all <br />exploration activity in Colorado, Wyoming, northern New <br />Mexico and South Dakota. <br />• <br />II.D-12 <br />
