groundwater monitoring wells completed within Streeter Fiil, one
ai;uvial well competed in the Goodsprine Creek alTU•riun up-
stream from Streeter F1T1, and one alTUVial •xetT completed in the
Goodspring Creek alluvium at the base of Streeter Fill. Colo•.ryc
will conduct monitoring and sampling of the above four wells and
will install, monitor, and sample an additional weT] adjacent to
Wilson Creek. The proposed well location is down gradient from
the Gossard Loadout and will be completed during the summer of
1983. Estimates indicate the free water zone will be at
seventeen feet. The proposed well location is shown on Water
Monitoring Sites For Permit No. C-019-81 (1•lap 37) and proposed
well completion is shown in Figure 1.
In accordance with the September 29, 1982 "Proposed
Decision and Findings of Compliance For The Colowyo Coal Company
Colowyo Mine", all of the weirs will be sampled quarterly as
listed belox.

Colowyo looks forward to continued cooperation with M.L.R.D. and
wilt consult with M.L.R.D., after the first annual report is submitted, in
efforts both tc evaluate the applicability of ati parameters chosen and
fre;uency of monitoring in accordance with the September 28, 1982 "Proposed
Decision and Findings of Compliance For The Colowyo Coal Company Colo•xyo
Mine"; and identify any peculiar site specific conditions.
Upon receipt of the Divisions approval of the ne••+ portions of the
above monitoring plans, Colowyo will implement the new provisions of the
plans. Since the new provisions were contempla*_ed in the Sepie::ber 28,
