EXHIBIT A, B, E E H <br />• <br />EXHIBIT A -Approximately 8.1 acres in the Northeast 1/4 Southeast 1/4 and <br />1.7 acres in the Southwest 1/4 Southeast 1/4 of Section 23, <br />Township 1 North, Range 63 West of the 6th P.M. Weld Lounty, <br />Colorado. (9.8 total acres) <br />EXHIBIT B - Mining Plan -.Mining is being and will be accomplished by surface <br />earthmoving machines, primarily with a rubber-tired front end <br />loader dumping into tractor-trailer dump trucks. Extraction <br />of the dry alluvial material will be less than 30,000 tons <br />per year. <br />Approximately two acres of the site may be considered as a <br />major disturbance area including both the excavated area and <br />the stockpile, while the remainder of the area is undisturbed <br />or at most only of minor disturbance at this time. The maximum <br />area anticipated to be disturbed on the site is estimated to be <br />six acres. Mined area is above any ground water, thereby being <br />a dry-pit operation. <br />Useable material is near the surface with little or no overburden, <br />is relatively fine-grained with 100% passing a 1/2" sieve, and is <br />less than eight feet thick. In the existing pit area, the meager <br />topsoil, less than 3" thick, has been, and will be, pushed aside <br />into small mounds by dozer or front end loader for future replace- <br />ment. The new pit area (north) has no topsoil or overburden. <br />Current operations are taking place in the southerly part of the <br />site in the existing pit. As mining occurs in the future, the <br />excavation will occur in the northernmost pit area with extraction <br />beginning at the north end and will proceed southerly. The south <br />or existing pit will remain open for occasional use should the <br />need arise. <br />EXHIBIT E - Reclamation Plan - All stockpiled material will be removed from <br />the site or incorporated into the excavated area as par[ of the <br />reclamation plan. As a large enough area is completed, the <br />excavated area will be regraded to slopes flatter than three <br />feet horizontal for each vertical foot. The finished area will <br />be sloped to correspond to the natural drainage pattern of the <br />surrounding area. <br />The stockpiled topsoil will be placed uniformly on the graded <br />surfaces at a thickness equal to the adjacent lands, in this case, <br />less than 3" on the south pit and none on the north pit, using <br />rubber-tired scrapers and blade graders. The finished surfaces <br />will be seeded with grasses compatible to the area during the <br />season, and at such rates as recommended by the Soil Conservation <br />Service and as detailed in Exhibit D. No trees or shrubs are <br />anticipated in the reclamation process. <br />The reclamation plan will result in a return of the area to the <br />equivalent use of the adjacent native low-productive pastureland. <br />EXHIBIT H - Reclamation Costs - Finishing Grading $1,800; Topsoiling $500; <br />Fertilizing $500; Seeding $500.
