(1) Consult ation with designp rofessionals during the design Qhases. This is important to
•
ensure that the intentions of our recommendations are properly incorporated in the
design, and that any changes in the design concept properly consider geotechnical
aspects.
(2) Observation and monitoring during constriction. A geotechnical engineer from our firm
should observe the excavation, earthwork, and foundation phases of the work to
determine that subsurface conditions are compatible with those used in the analysis and
design. Placement of structural fill should be observed and tested to judge whether the
proper placement conditions have been achieved.
(3) Future Desien-Level Studies. R'e should be contacted to perform final design-level
studies, particularly for structures situated in filled areas, or for structures that will be
• substantially changed with respect to location or scope from those anticipated for this
iepOrt.
LIl~IITATIONS
This report has been prepared in accordance with generally accepted geotechnical
engineering principles and practices in this area at this time. We make no other warranty either
expressed or implied. The conclusions and recommendations submitted in this report are based
upon the data obtained from the exploratory borings drilled at the locations indicated on the
report figures, the proposed type of construction and our experience in the area. Our findings
' include interpolation and extrapolation of the subsurface conditions identified at the exploratory
borings.
•
34
