Coldcreek-Rock outcrop - Kutler area <br />Deep and moderately deep, strongly eloping to extremely steep, well <br />to somewhat excessively drained soils formed in material weathered from <br />acid igneous rock. <br />These soils are in the foothill and mountain areas in the western <br />part of the survey area. <br />This soil area occupies about 2 percent of the survey area. About <br />j0 percent of the area is Coldcreek soils, j0 percent Rock outcrop, and <br />25 percent Kutler soils. The remaining 15 percent is soils df minor <br />extent. <br />Coldcreek soil is deep and well drained and has hard fractured bedrock <br />( at a depth of more than !y0 inches. The Rock outcrop is Pikes Peak granite <br />and mixed acid igneous rock. The Kutler soil is moderately deep, some- <br />what excessively drained and ie over grus (highly weathered granite at <br />a depth of 20 to 40 inches. <br />The minor soils in this area are the somewhat excessively drained <br />Broadmoor soils, the well drained Tolman soil and some stony sandy loam <br />soils over granite bedrock at depths of 10 to 20 inches. <br />This soil area is used Sor home-sites, livestocl: grazing, recreation,' <br />wildlife habitat, and woodland. <br /> <br /> <br />~.
