Westhoff: <br />A review of Che material we received on September 10, 1979 revealed <br />some problems that need to be resolved before the staff can recommend <br />to the Mined Land Reclamation Board approval of your permit application. <br />The first three problems can be resolved before the Board meeting; the <br />last one can sot. They are ae follare: ~ <br />1. The Staff does not recommend a monoculture revegetation ' <br />plan for the area to be reclaimed. Instead the following <br />seed mix is recommended: <br />Westera Wheatgraea 3 lbs. PLS/acre <br />Side Oats Gramme 5 lbs. PLS/acre <br />Blue Gramme 7y lbs. PLS/acre <br />Send Dropaeed '~ lbs. PLS/acre <br /> 9 lbs. PLS/acre <br />_ <br />+ Ysllow Sweetclover ~ lbs. PLS/acre <br />II. Coneidsration should be given for a water management plan <br />to handle the runoff and sediment from the affected area. <br />If a sediment pond is needed, it should be designed to <br />handle the runoff and apolmen¢ Prom an appropriate etosna <br />eyen~. <br />III. We need to coma to an agseemeat on the bond. <br />IV. Tha requirements £or notifging adjacent landowners <br />appear to have not been fulfilled. The tequirementa <br />are presented in Rule 2:22(3)(b) of the Rulss and <br />Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation <br />Board. A copy of the publication should have <br />accompanied the letter that you sent the adjacent <br />~andownere. <br />\ . <br />
