candy Gulch monitoring 13
• 3.4.2 Drive point piezometers
Four samples have been collected from DP-1 during the spring months of 1999 when it contained
water (Table 3.1 ). Seven samples have been collected from DP-3, DP-4, and DP-5 from
November 1998 to August 1999 (Table 3.1 ). Since the August 1999 sampling, samples collected
for chemical analysis at DP-4 have been collected from the stainless steel drive point DP-4R.
DP-2 has remained dry since its installation and has not been sampled. Samples have been
analyzed by ACZ Laboratories.
Chemical concentrations of zinc, aluminum, and iron are relatively high in DP-3, DPI, and DP-5.
Additionally, samples from DPI show high concentrations of manganese. The range and mean
concentration of measured parameters sampled from DP-3, DP-4, and DP-5 are included in
Table 3.3, and a detailed reporting of drive point samples is included in Appendix C.
3.4.3 Windy Gulch weirs
The Windy Gulch weirs have been sampled on the dates indicated in Table 3.1. Seven water
samples have been collected at the WGU Weir, six at the 9700 Weir, and twelve at the WGL Weir.
The range and mean of measured parameters analyzed in the weir samples are included in
Table 3.4, and a detailed reporting of all weir sample analyses is included in Appendix C.
•
