To date, CWI has not used irrigation and does not
intend to in the future. If any disease or pest
control is necessary, Cyprus Orchard Valley Coal
Corporation will use appropriate methods as rec-
commended by appropriate professional. Current-
ly, Cyprus Orchard Valley Coal Corporation plans
to use Banvel (bicamba) for the control of Canada
Thistle, as recommended by Dr. George Beck (Ex-
tension Weed Specialist, C.S.U.). Application
times and rates will be recommended.
A contractor, Pest Away Spraying, will be ut-
ilized for the application of herbicide to the
1990 stand of Canada Thistle and other weeds
species. The following products will be applied
at the site:

The various products will be applied by hand-held
equipment. It is anticipated that the spraying
will occur in late May, although, weather
conditions may alter this schedule. Within two
weeks from the date of completing spraying a re-
port will be submitted to the Division indicating
the product used, spraying date, and map showing
the areas sprayed. This report will be for the
1990 spraying only.
In future years, Cyprus Orchard Valley will use
herbicides on an as needed basis to control nox-
ious weeds. The herbicides used will be selected
by Cyprus, and the Division will be notified of
the products that are planned to be used at the
site. As soon as possible after notification the
products will be applied to the noxious weeds.
