A schedule <br />for final abandonment follows on Figure 2.05-5 in the <br />Final Abandonment Appendix, Volione 6A. <br />The reclamation plan for [lie Orchard Valley West Mine <br />is Like that for [he Orchard Valley Mine. It is divid- <br />ed into two distinct phases. 'R~e firs[ phase is inter- <br />im reclamation of the disturbed areas. The second <br />please is final reclamation and abandonment. <br />I. Interim Reclamation Program <br />After site development fur the Orchard Valley West Mine <br />area, interim reclamation will begin. The outslopes of <br />the fill embankment will be covered with approximately <br />four fee[ of topsoil and revegeta[ed. It is anticipat- <br />ed that the revege[ation effort will consist of seed <br />placement, hydromulching, and erosion control ina[ting. <br />These measures will reduce the erosion potential and <br />[hereby ensure the stability of the fill embanlm ent and <br />perimeter drainages. <br />The fill embanknent consists of approximately 3.2 <br />acres. Topsoil will be handled according to the ap- <br />proved plan se[ forth in the existing permit.
