Ted Wickham <br />Chairman <br />Kit Carson County Commissioners <br />Route 1, Box 31 <br />Flagler, Colorado 80815 <br />Re: Kit Carson County's Gravel Operations, NOV number 82-8 <br />Dear Dlr. 1•lickham: <br />As you are aware, action by the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board at <br />its April 21-22, 1982 meeting resulted in the following action: <br />It was D10VED that the Board assess a $10,000 civil penalty with <br />$9,000 to be suspended if permits are approved by the Board on <br />the ]10 applications at the June Board [fleeting and on the 112 <br />application at the July Board Fleeting, with the $1,000 unsuspended <br />portion of the fine to be paid before the Play Board Meeting. <br />SECONDED and PASSED UNANIMOUSLY. <br />It was MOVED that the MOTION BE AMENDED to delay the payment of <br />the unsuspended $:L,000 and that the Board, at the June Board <br />Dteeting, will makf: a determination as to when the $1,000 <br />unsuspended civil penalty should be paid depending on remedial <br />reclamation work on unpermitted lands. SECONDED and PASSED <br />UNAN IDfOU S LY . <br />It was PtOVED-that the cease and desist order be lifted from the <br />Beattie Pit to al'~_ow the County to operate to satisfy the <br />hazardous road conditions in Kit Carson County. SECONDED and <br />PASSED UNANIMOUSLY. <br />I{was DIOVED that the cease and desist order be lifted from the <br />"Jim and Bob Ostroski Pit" to allow the Count}• to operate to <br />satisfy the hazardous road conditions in tha District of the <br />County. SECONDED and PASSED UNANIMOUSLY. <br />
