A copy of each letter is enclosed,
The Division recommends that the applicant contact these entities and demonstrate to them how the
application does or will address their concems and reasons fcr objecting.
The Wildemess Aware letter references a county conditional use permit. Mr Greiner of that company has
been advised that his objection will only be considered, as such, if he resubmits his letter referencing the stale
reclamation pemti[ application. His concerns about recreation, tourism, traffic, air quality, visual resources,
transportation and noise are not issues the Division or Mined Land Reclamation Board considers before
making a decision on a reclamation permit application. However, his concems about water quality, dust (from
topsoil, stockpiles) vegetation and riparian habitat are areas we review before making a decision.
The letter form the Fremont Soil Conservation District raises their concern regazding spread of leafy spurge
seed from the permit area. Weed control is an issue that will be considered in reviewing the permit
application.
Please call if you have questions.
Sincerely,
a~~!/. OL.ZV(JS~ V
Larry D.
