Exhibit "D" <br />(1) This application includes the following information in accordance with the <br />regulations: RULE 3. <br />(a} Topsoil and/or overburden will be replaced as mining in portions of the pit that have <br />been excavated to the point that the gravel is exhausted. When that depth has been reached the <br />overbwden will be replaced ir, relation to extraction. The overbwden and topsoil will be replaced <br />at Z O"-16" and sloped to a 3h:1 v ready for seeding. <br />(b) Maximum gradient of reclaimed sloped(horizontal :vertical) <br />The maximum gradient on reclaimed backslopes will be 3H:1 V or flatter to accommodate the <br />rangeland use proposed by the land owner/applicant. <br />(c) A4easures that will be taken to revegetate the site: <br />(i) The growth media will be replaced at a depth of 10" to 16" and the backslopes <br />finished at 3H:1 V. The pit will be daylight on the east side and the other (3) three sides will be <br />sloped at 3H;1 V the mining will proceed uphill and follow the grade of the hill side. The top of <br />the hill will be lowered and contowed for seeding. See maps. <br />(ii) Time of seeding, seedbed preparation, type, application rate and soil <br />• incorporation, method of fertilization application. Seeding is preferred and proposed if at all <br />possible between November 1 and prior to May 1. Reshaping will be done using the saved <br />topsoil at a depth of 10" to 16" all the slopes shall be at no greater than 3H:1 V. The topsoil will <br />be spread and smoothed but not hard packed. Seed will be drilled spacing at 8". Seeding rates as <br />follows: per NRCS: <br />The Las Animas area office of the NRCS conducted a field survey on this proposed Gravel Pit <br />Area and they recommended a seed mixtwe for reclamation on this site.
