The permittee must <br />submit an exemption request and supporting 'proof' with the monitoring data, <br />The division will approve or deny the exemption request. If denied, then the <br />permittee will be expected co meet the primary parameters (TSS and total iron <br />for active mining, settleable solids for post-mining). <br />REPORTING: <br />Discharge monitoring reports (Dh1Rs1 are to be submitted on a quarterly basis. <br />If no discharge occurtied during the yuzn'Cer, the DPll: should state "No <br />discharge during this reporting period." Sea fart 1.C of the permit for <br />additional requirements. <br />MATERIALS CONTAINMENT: <br />As most facilities provide bulk storage of some volume of petroleum products <br />or ocher chemicals, the permit will require adequate protection of such <br />facilities so as co prevent loss of these materials into state waters. Such <br />protection can take various forms, hoaaver, di4:ing in most cases will prove to <br />be the most cost effective, This provision. is required as the division <br />interprets proper operation as properly addressing potential pollutant sources <br />before problems occur. <br />CHANGES IN DISCHARGE POINTS: <br />Any time the penniCtee wishes to change the Location of an outfall, add or <br />deactivate oucfalls, or change an outfall [nom active co post-mining; it will <br />be necessary for the permittee to submit an amendment request.
