Analytical and Samnline Methods for Monitorinz <br />Analytical and sampling methods utilized by the discharger shall <br />conform co Colorado Regulations for Effluent Limitations (10.1.5), and <br />40 CFR Part 136. ' <br />The analytical method selected for a parameter shall be the one that <br />can measure the lowest detected limit for that parameter unless the <br />permit limitation or stream standard for those parameters not limited, <br />is within the testing range of another approved method. <br />Calculations for all limitations which require averaging of <br />measurements shall utilize an arithmetic mean unless otherwise <br />specified. <br />4. Records <br />The permittee shall establish and maintain records. Those records <br />shall include the following: <br />a) The Sate, type, enact location, and time of sampling or <br />measurements; <br />b) The individual(s) who Performed the sampling or measurements; <br />c) The dates} the analyses were perfermed; <br />d) The individual(s) who performed the analyses; <br />e) The analytical techniques or methods used; <br />f) The results of such analyses; and <br />g) Any other observations which may result in an impact on the <br />quality or quantity of the discharge as indicated in 40 GFR <br />122.44 (i)(1){iii). <br />The permittee shall retain for a minimum of three (3) years records of <br />all monitoring information, including all records of analyses <br />performed, all original scrip chart recordings for continuous <br />monitoring instrumentation, all calibration and maintenance records, <br />copies of all reports required by this permit and records of all data <br />used to complete Che application for this permit. This period of <br />retention shall be extended during the course of any unresolved <br />litigation regarding the discharge of pollutants by the permittee or <br />when requested by Che Division or Regional Administrator of EPA. <br />5. Additional Monitorine by Permittee <br />If the permittee monitors any pollutant at the location(s) designated <br />herein more frequently than required by this permit, using approved <br />analytical methods as specified above, the results of such monitoring <br />shall be included in the calculation and reporting of the values <br />required in the Discharge Monitoring Report Form (EPA No. 3320-1), or <br />ocher forms as required by the Division. Such increased frequency <br />shall also be indicated. <br />
