This
material will wme from Topsoil Stockpile #2 since there is considerable excess soil in this
pile. After reclamation of the North Pit, the pile will contain 44500 yd3 - 38000 yd3 =
6500 yd3. The area of backfilling and topsoiling is 0.45 acres + 0.63 acres = 1.08 acres.
Of the remaining 6500 yd3 in the pile, 3500 yd3 will be used to reclaim the haul road.
Therefore, the amount of fill needed from the Permanently Reclaimed Spoils Area is 4179-
3500 = 679 yd3. This leaves 3000 yd3 in the topsoil pile, which will be used to reclaim
that portion of the Permanently Reclaimed Spoils Area that is needed to supply the fill for
the North Pit reclamation.
Approximately 24008 yd3 for the North Pit and 679 yd3 for the haul road will be
excavated from the Permanently Reclaimed Spoils Area. The calculations below were
made from the existing and final contours of the site in Survcadd, showing that the final
contours of the pile reflect the amount that needs to be excavated.
TR08, TRIl(v1.0) 5-27 Revised 9/97, 08/02
