L._J

North Alt Volume Report 07/14/2002
Comparing GRID file: E:/ewingmesa/NORTHPTTX.grd
and GRID file: E:/ewingmesa/NORTHPITF.grd
Grid corner locations: 2314564.29,1221080.62 to 2315317.93,1221914.64
Grid resolution X: 300, Y: 300 Grid cell size X: 2.51, Y: 2.78
Area in Cut :77827.5 ft2, 1.787 acres Area in Fill: 152838.0 ft2, 3.509 acres
Total inclusion area: 230665.5 ft2, 5.295 acres
Cut to Fill ratio: 0.20
Average Cut Depth: 5.28 ft.
Cut (yd3)/ Area (acres): 2874.38
Average Fill Depth: 13.64 ft.
Fill (yd3) /Area (acres): 14584.26
Cut volume: 410963.21 ft3, 15220.86 yd3 Fill volume: 2085176.90 ft3, 77228.77 yd3
Based on the above information, 15,220 cubic yards will be cut material from the existing
surface. Approximately 4,000 cubic yards of this amount will be cut Crom the downspoil
on the North Pit outslope by a large excavator. The remainder of the cut material is from
excess bench material on the outer segment of the North Pit bench that will be used to
balance the fill volume on the North Pit bench. With these assumptions, the following
apply:
Excavator Cut: 4000 yd3
Cut/Fill at North Pit with dozer 15220-4000 = 11220 yd3
Remaining balance that must be brought from lower stockpiles 77229 - 15221 = 62,008
yd3
Since the tota- disturbed area of the North Pit is 7.15 acres + approximately 1.2 acres of
downspoil to be covered with topsoil, the total azea to be topsoded at the North Pit is 8.35
acres.
As shown in the calculations below, Topsoil Stockpile #2 contains 44,500 cubic yazds of
topsoil.
TR08, TRll(v1.0) 5-24 Revised 9/97, 08/02
