Long; <br /> Drvisum Director <br />RE: Informal Conference, Agile Stone Systems, Inc ., -Parkdale Project, 112 Permit Application, File No. <br />M-97-053 <br />Dear Mr. Worthley: <br />The Colorado Division of Ivtlnerals and Geology is reviewing Agile Stone System's application for a regular (112) <br />Reclamation Permit to mine gr;lnite, gravel, and limestone at their proposed Parkdale Project. We have received letters <br />from individuals indicating than they are objecting to approval of the application. <br />When the Division receives timely written objections [o a permit application, a hearing process is started. The first step <br />is an Informal Conference which will be held at [he Canon City Council Chambers a[ 612 Royal Gorge Boulevard, <br />Canon City, at 1:00 p.m., September IS, 1997, H. Bruce Humphries, Minerals Program Supervisor, will conduct the <br />meeting. <br />At [he Informal Conference. zach person objecting to approval of the application will be able [o present [heir grounds <br />for objecting, and the applicant and anyone supporting the application will have time to present grounds necessary to <br />support issuance of a Reclamation Permit [o mine and reclaim the proposed project site. <br />Any interested person may participate in the informal Conference by submitting written comments or by appearing in <br />person. <br />The Division will report on the status of [he permit review, discuss the types of issues [he Mined Land Reclamation <br />Board (MLRB) will consider at the final hearing, and discuss [he remainder of the review and hearing process. <br />Agile Stone Systems has requz<tzd that the decision date on their application be changed from October 6, 1997 to the <br />November 19-20, 1997 MLR6 meeting. <br />Please contact me if you have questions <br />Sincerely, <br />L D.
