V <br />DISCUSSION <br />The inventory of 52 acres of public and private lands associated <br />with a planned U.S. Steel Corporation mining project resulted in the <br />discovery of one site. The site, 5DT4813, is located on private lands, <br />and consists of a log cabin. The cabin is not considered eligible for <br />nomination to the National Register of Historic Places. As illustrated <br />in Appendix B, the cabin is located on [he perimeter of the project <br />area. Considering Its location on the boundary of the proposed Impact <br />area and the site's high visibility, Nickens and Associates recommends <br />that Che cabin be avoided by construction activities. <br />r <br />r, <br /> <br />11 <br />
