Yes, potential
incidental minor damage to the topsoil storage pile is recognized and accepted as the lesser of impacts from
alternative procedures. Byron.
From: "Kimberly Wolf" <WOLFK@kennecott.com>, on 9/8/98 12:01 PM:
September 8, 1998
Byron -this is a confirmation regarding our phone conservation today. Colowyo currently has a contractor
dredging sediment from the Stoker Siding Pond. There is a topsoil stock pile located adjacent to the pond. The
contractor's dragline will come very close to the topsoil pile and may run ontop of a small side of the pile. When
this occurres the dragline will be inbetween the pile and the pond but will enable the contractor to reach far
enough into the pond to remove the cattails. I anticipate the contractor's dragline to be in this position over the
next couple of days.
I understand that you agree with the above plan to remove sediment from the Stoker Siding Pond and that
Colowyo will reseed the areas adjacent to the pond which require reclamation.
Please let me know if you have any additional concerns.
Thanks for your help, Kimberley A.
