In addition, other shares have <br /> been utilized from time to time on a seasonal basis by trans- <br /> fer from other land owned by the applicant's predecessor or <br /> by rental on a seasonal basis from other owners. The land <br /> requires a larger than normal duty of water due to the unusually <br /> � . coarse texture of the soil. <br /> ' f. The total water supply to the 86 1/2-acre parcel consists of <br /> both precipitation and irrigation water delivered to the <br /> southwest corner of the tract. The gross rates of depletion <br /> �. of the total water supply used in this Plan are as follows: <br /> Open water surfaces 41.66 inches <br /> Irrigated land (corn) 24.83 <br /> t Non-irrigated native grass 8.90 <br /> L Buildings, residences, gravel pits, <br /> corrals, & other developed areas 2.00 <br /> The gross depletion on the irrigated land has been increased <br /> by five (5.0) percent over the water requirements of corn <br /> in order to account for soil-moisture losses during the non- <br /> .' irrigating season. <br /> • g.
