The soils are loamy, weakly developed, with an AC horizon. <br />They are formed from colluvial materials of varied origin. <br />The A-I layer builds up too fast fora B2t layer to develop. <br />Organic matter content is high. The soil has a very favorable <br />soil-water-plant relationship. <br />b. Soils in [his site are: <br />Breece loam <br />Holderness clay loam <br />Silas loam <br />Waterino silty loam <br />6. Location of Typical Example of the Site <br />One mile south of the Rio Blanco-Moffat county line, just east of <br />Highway 13, in the Nine Mile area. <br />At [he head of most drainages which have their origin in [he Montane <br />Zone in Rio Blanco, Moffat, and Routt Counties. <br />A mile south and a mile east of the "W" mountain at Gunnison in <br />the valley. <br />Along the. bottom of the draw near Muddy Creek one half mile west <br />of Cochetopa Creek in Saguache County. <br />8.
