• 5) Seepage will occur under gradient conditions.
representative of the combined coal and fractured
overburden sandstone. This gradient is the combined
coal and fractured sandstone thickness divided by
the distance of the mined coal area to the subcrop
(see Figure A).
6) Interrupted ground water outflow and infiltra-
tion of surface water into each coal seam are
independent and are calculated separately.
The components of the calculations of interrupted
ground water outflows for each coal seam are listed
in Table H and the sources of data referenced.
Similarly, the components of the calculations of
the potential for infiltration of surface water
• through the streambed are shown and referenced in
Table I. Table J is a modification of Table G-27 to
which references have been added.
Drill hole data in the unconsolidated material of
Curtis Creek as well as to each of the coal seams,
is included as Appendix E of Section G, volume 5.
The locations of all the hydrology observation
holes are shown on Exhibit G-1, volume S, and
Exhibit 9-21, volume 10. The drill holes and the
data from them are listed in Table K.
L~
Leonard Rice ConwRing Water Ergi~eeri Inc.
