Soil erosion in the topsoil storage area will be controlled <br />by means of straw dikes. <br />Following removal of the topsoil, a cut will be made parallel to the <br />strike of the beds, '.Phis first cut will have a maximum depth of 15 feet <br />and a width of 30 feet. A second cut will be made 15 feet deep creating <br />a finished first cut of 10 feet wide by 3G feet deep across the outcrop. <br />All useable limestone will be removed and hauled to the crusher. <br />Mining will proceed £rom north to south up dip on the outcrop. Benches <br />will be 30 feet wide by a maximum of 15 feet deep. <br />Arty material encountered which is not useable as limestone will be exca- <br />vated and hauled back to the north benches and then to the quarry floor. <br />This material will be spread uniformly with a bulldozer. <br />Projected volume/tonnages: <br />Soil/topsoil: Less than 1000 tons <br />Limestone and waste: 69,OOO.tons <br />
