<br />Permit No.: CO-0027146 <br />County: Mesa <br />- AUTHORI711TION TO DISCHARGE UNDER THE <br />COLORADO DISCHARGE PERMIT SYSTEM <br />In compliance with the provisions of the Colorado Water Quality Control Act, <br />(25-8-101 et seq., CRS, 1973 as amended) and the Federal Water Pollution <br />Control Act, as amended (33 U.S.C. 1251 et seq.; the "Act") the <br />POWDERHORN COAL COMPANY <br />is authorized to discharge from Roadside and Cameo Mines located in Section <br />34, T10S, R98W; near exit 46 of I-70, near Cameo, C0; co the Colorado River, <br />Coal Creek and the Government Highline Canal; in accordance with effluent <br />limitations, monitoring requirements and ocher conditions set forth in Part I <br />and II hereof. All discharges authorized herein shall be consistent with the <br />terms and conditions of this permit. <br />The applicant may demand an adjudicatory hearing within thirty (30) days of <br />the issuance of the final permit determination, per the Regulations for the <br />State Discharge Permit System, 6.8.0 (1). Should the applicant choose to <br />contest any of the effluent limitations, monitoring requirements or ocher <br />conditions contained herein, the applicant muse comply with Section 24-4-104 <br />CRS 1973 and the Regulations for the State Discharge Permit System. Failure <br />to contest any such effluent limitation, monitoring requirement, or ocher <br />~onditior„ constitutes consent co the condition by the applicant. <br />This permit and the authorization to discharge shall expire at midnight, <br />July 31, 1997. <br />Signed and Issued this day of <br />COLORADO DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH <br />J.
