Effluent Limitations (continued) <br />Values for Ml and M3 vary depending on the applicable water <br />quality standard (M3) and the background stream quality data <br />(M1). These water quality standards are also shown in Table <br />VI-4, along with the calculated effluent limitations (M2). The <br />upstream data was obtained from CDH station x/000048 and covr_rs <br />the period from February, 1968, to June, 1988. R_e¢ulations for Effluent Limitations: The Regulations for <br />Effluent Limitations (10.1.0), apply to the conventional <br />pollutants. For this facility, the Limitation for Oil and <br />Grease are based on this regulation, <br />4. Discussion of Limitations - Salinicv !Total Dissolved Solids): <br />The Regulations for Implementation of the Colorado River <br />Salinity Standards Through the Colorado Discharge Permit <br />Program, (3.10.0) addresses the discharge of to cal dissolved <br />solids (TDS) co the Colorado River Basin. Ic is a requirement <br />of this regulation that all discharges into the Colorado River <br />basin be monitored for TDS on a continual basis. Therefore, in <br />compliance with this regulation the permittee must monitor for <br />TDS on a quarterly basis. <br />5. Whole Effluent Toxicity !WET) Testing: For this facility, acute <br />and chronic WET testing are required £or oucfalls 001, 002 and <br />004 only. (See Parts I.A and I.B of the permit.)
