Effluent Limitations (continued) <br />1. A_Dfllicable Federal Effluent Guidelines and Standards: There are <br />federal guidelines applicable to all outfall. The State Effluent Standard-based limitations are <br />not applicable pursuant to Section 10.1.?(3) of the Scace <br />Regulations for Effluent Limitations, which stacas chat wher. See the next <br />section for an explanaticn of the exemption procedure. <br />Alternate Limitation Buren of Proof Reouirements - In <br />conformance with 40 CFR-34.63, the permictee has the burden o£ <br />proof when requesting relief from co cal suspended solids (TSS), <br />to cal iron and/or settleable solids limicacions. Relief shall <br />be granted only when necessary and shall not be granted when the <br />permictee has control over the discharge. The permictee should <br />endeavor co meet the primary limicacions whenever possible. <br />
