a'
TOWN OF WESTCLIFFE
March 17, 2000
Custez County Planning Commission
c/o Lincoln Lippincott
P. 0. Box 203
Westcliffe, Colorado 81252
RE: Gravel Pit Truck Access
Dear Linc,
On March 7, 2000, the Board of Trustees of the Town of
Westcliffe considered the Geroux's proposal to use 3`d
Street south of Hermit Road in connection with their
proposed gravel pit south of Town.
Based on an agreement between the Geroux's and
residents along 3`d Street that gravel trucks will not use
3`d Street after March of 2001 and that thereafter the
Geroux.'s will arrange other access to Hermit Road, the Town
of Westcliffe takes no position on the matter. The Town
will, however, place the matter on its agenda for March
2001 to consider what action, if any, the Town should take
to mitigate traffic and other impacts caused by the gravel
operation. The Town, however, reserves the right to
consider the matter earlier if the need arises.
Sincerely,
~ J ~
Dale F. Kelling
Mayor
305 Main Street s N.O.
