LEGAL DESCRIPTION <br />~- -~ <br />/' The Bourg coal property comprises a private parcel: <br />i <br />S?~, \SE4, Section 7 and~N~~INE;, Section 18, T9N, R78[9, Jackson <br />County, Colorado. ' <br />There is a 60-foot haul road right-of-way 7,500 feet in <br />length, shown in Plate 13, which traverses parts of the SE; of the <br />NW;, the NWi of the SE's, the SW< of the SE; and the SEa of the SE;, <br />all of Section 12; and the S[4; of the SW;, the SE; of the SW;, and <br />the SP7'~ of the SE;, all of Section 7, both Sections being in T9N, <br />R79W of the 6th P.M. in Jackson County, comprising ~ ~~more <br />or less. The Northgate load-out facility comprises a<`~'.'~~"' p~?3.°(~~e~ <br />parcel: S~„ PIE; of Section 31, T11N, R79W of the 6th P.M. in Jackson <br />County, Colorado. Therefore the total acreage covered by the permit <br />is ~-7~acres more or less. ___._____-___. ____ <br />X73 o ation and Pre-Mining Maps. Figure 1, shows the location of , <br />the Bourg property. It is made from four O.S. Geological Survey <br />~7'~-minute topographic quadrangles. It shows the 1,458-acre <br />drainage basin of Mann Draw and a stock watering pond about 2000 <br />feet north of the permit area and down-gradient o° it in Mann Draw. <br />All immediately adjacent land is gu11ic rra~~n? land administered <br />by the Bureau of Land Management from their Kremmling, Colorado area <br />office. These lands are part of BLM Allotment 7080, consisting of <br />6,100 acres and leased for grazing in common to Frank tdurphy and <br />Keith Holsinger, both of Walden, Colorado. <br />Plate 1 is a topographic map of the Bourg property at a scale <br />of 1" = 200' and a contour interval of 5 feet. It shows the principal <br />drainage, Mann Draw, a sagebrush and soil-covered dry drainage way <br />that rarely flows water. <br />Existing roads and utilities are shown on Plate 1. The roads <br />crossing the Bourg coal property were unimproved ranch roads. <br />There are no buildings on or near the property. A Continental Oil <br />Company 14.4 kv power line with wooden poles crossed the property <br />prior to mining. Adjacent to this power line on the northeast .was <br />a 2-inch gas line laid on the surface. A buried 6-inch gas line <br />crossed the property as did a small telephone line. These lines <br />have been rerouted along the borders of the Bourg property. There <br />is also a buried abandoned Continental Oil pipeline that will be <br />A-1 <br />
