Cottony
Division Director
Natural Resource Trus[ee
The Division of Minerals and Geology has reviewed the Discharge Monitoring Reports
(DMR) for the Rimrock Strip Mine for the 2"d, 3`~, and 4th quarters of 2003.
The reports comply with the requirements of Rule 4.05.13(2)(a)(iii)(A) for submittal of
completed forms to meet NPDES permit requirements. The notation "No discharge"
agrees with the Division's observations through field inspections. Please ensure that
the periodic visits to check for pond discharge meet the requirements of your Colorado
Discharge permit and the discharges are sampled when, and if, they occur.
We have no further questions at this time. Thank you for your diligence in pursuing your
monitoring and reporting as required.
Sin ly, ~~~~
Kent .Gorham
Environmental Protection Specialist II
Office of Office of Colorado
Mined Land Reclamation Active and Inactive Mines Geological Survey
