• This information is presented on the Bond Reclamation Map Maximum Disturbance
Topography -North, Map 34, and Bond Reclamation Map Maximum Disturbance Topography -
South, Map 3~. Disturbance acreages, as indicated by these maps for each disturbance azea, aze
•

summarized in Table 1, Disturbance Area Acreages.
5.0 DETERMINATION AND SEQUENCING OF REQUIRED RECLAMATION
FUNCTIONS
Having identified the bonding disturbance scenario, the next step in developing the
bonding cost estimate was to determine what reclamation functions or activities would be required
to reclaim disturbance azeas in accordance with the approved reclamation plan. Inherent in the
determination of the required reclamation functions was the development of a logical sequence of
reclamation activities for each disturbance azea. The following reclamation functions and
sequencing were identified as being selectively applicable to specific disturbance azeas:
1) Removal and disposal of mine structures and facilities
2) Ripping, removal, and disposal of surfacing materials
3) Ripping of surface material to alleviate compaction
4) Rough grading of roads and facilities azeas
5) Recontouring excavated azeas
6) Reestablishment of drainage
7) Replacement of stockpiled topsoil material
8) Revegetation of all reclaimed azeas
9) Removal of sedimentation ponds and reclamation of pond azeas
6.0 DETERMINATION OF MATERIAL HANDLING REQUIREMENTS AND
DELINEATION OF HAULAGE ROUTES
In order to develop cost estimates for completion of various reclamation functions, it was
first necessary to quantify the volumes of material to be handled.
Debris from facility removal can be effectively disposed of in regraded fill azeas with no
adverse effects. These materials will be placed above the natural water table and will be covered
by a minimum of four-feet of suitable material. Tbis approach precludes the unnecessary
additional cost of hauling this material off site to a landfill.
Recontouring volumes reflect grading of the disturbance azeas to eliminate all highwalls,
4
