It is composed of 35% Thornburgh cobbly loam and 25% <br />Castner cobbly loam; inclusions are 25% Uwen Creek ana 15% other <br />soils. <br />The vegetation type is sagebrush-grassland. The erosion hazard <br />is slight to very high, runoff is medium to rapid, and flooding hazard <br />is none. The present land use is range. and w ildlife habitat and the • <br />range site is dry exposure, stony foothills. The S.CS capability sub- <br />class is VIIIe non-irr. <br />Tnese two soils are in parallel families .(loamy-skeletal) of like <br />subgroups (Typic Cryoborolls and Lithic Haploborolls). Because the <br />Castner is shallow it tends to have a greater amount of flagstones on <br />the surface. This map unit typically occurs at topographic breaks <br />below the gently sloping uplands and above the steep slopes.
