99 <br />• ENDERSON PIT OVERVIEW <br />This pit is located thirteen miles north of Arriba in an inter- <br />mittent stream where the thickness of the section to be mined is <br />probably in excess of 15 feet thick and overlies hard Pierre Shale <br />bedrock. <br />The pit will be mined almost exclusively by maintenance person- <br />nel of the Division of Highcaays although it may be used rarely as <br />a construction pit when the need arises. <br />The material in the pit ranges from very fine grained sand to <br />coarse gravel with a preponderance of medium grained sand and gravel. <br />It will be necessary to reclaim only the plant and stockpile <br />area and a portion of the haul road as the stream bed where mining <br />will take place will be reclaimed naturally by action of flood <br />waters during periods of high runoff. <br />• <br />`J <br />
