Glerfiulo(?} and Cuchncl formations for at ]east 900 feet from the
)nin intrusive. Cong]omerate, sandstone, and shale hells have peen
tared to conglomeratic quartzite, quartzite, hontfels, and locally to
ate. The wnlact is gradational from well-consolidated meta-
lorphic rocks to loosely consolidated sedimentary rocks. In contrast,
here is no apparent nltcrlrtion of thesedimentnly rocks of the Cucharn
ormatimr nt the contact with the much Larger granite and grnno-
liorite porphyry sfocl: of East Spanish Penk. Dletmna•phism was

contact of the 1Vhite Peals and the Illuck Bills int.rusives. l;lse-

nntau•al coke appears to be no more extensive than the alteration of
suudstouo and shnlo hells. At. several localities sills have replncerl ~
